Tired

So tired...so fuckin tired. Can barely keep my eyes open. Felt like falling asleep walking. Seriously. So tired that I noticed there's another two beings inside the lift with me just when I was pressing the button. (those two beings are humans by the way). Stupid organizers.

Only spent 6 hours at home(including sleep) for the past two days. One more night . One more night and life's gonna go back to it boring self. Luckily they are kind enough to give us a day off before the real performance. Waiting the entire night for that 15 minutes on stage(below stage or becoming keh leh feh for those that's not 1337 enough like limpeh here). Boredom can make people crazy. Even the strictest of seniors. (I shall reveal more of their diry secrets blog more about what crazy things we did in later posts. Muahahahahaha)

It's tomorrow

For those of you who had nothing better to do with your pathetic life on a Saturday night or if you want to have a sober Saturday night without any hangover on Sunday morning where you can attend Sunday Service at church without falling asleep halfway(of course, even when the event ended, the night would still be freaking young for you night owls out there), come and join us at the MBKS hockey stadium(if you don't know where it is, it's sandwiched between the MBKS swimming pool and the MBKS building. U know, the long-long-sharp-sharp one.)

And if you REALLY had nothing else better to do, come see our rehearsal for the Merdeka Day eve at the waterfront(the courthouse section. there's few stages there so if you can't find it then you'll need some serious help). Full rehearsal including the dancing, marching, raising of Jalur Gemilang(if you're a Malaysian and you don't know what this means you win the internet.) and the shoutings of "MERDEKA" 7 times. This rehearsals will be going for tonight, and the nights of 27 and 28. If limpeh remember correctly, members of the public would not be allowed near the stage on the 30th. So if you wanna see what those VVIPs are looking at on the night of the 30th, now is your chance.

Kuching Martial Arts Festival 2nd Rehearsal

A really really long post with lots and lots of pictures. Longest/largest ever in this blog I suppose. Don't whine if your pc crash, explode and turned into a pile of ashes. You had been warned.

So as the title goes, last Sunday was the second and final rehearsal for the Kuching Martial Festival this coming Saturday. Two hours before that was the rehearsal for the one during Merdeka eve. Nothing much going on so Im gonna post in point form with pictures.

1. Start off with a rant. Fuck you bloody monkeys. People did not insult your martial arts so don't fucking do that to others (luckily they did not insult us or our art or Im gonna mutilate them and feed them to hamsters). Although Im an ass(a well-known one that is), I never did wat you fuckers did. You are a fucking disgrace to the world of martial arts. The arts you learn, well NEWSFLASH. Its not as cool as you think it is and it is fucking retarded. And you guys had the fucking guts to call youself martial artists.I had no intention to insult you guys but you morons had done it this time. Fuck you. I hope you break you balls in your next round of sparring and your offsprings will be retarded ones. That's why you'll never evolve and will stay in that semi-monkey state forever. Fucking monkeys.

1. Compared the size of our cameras. (Sir, Jeff and limpeh's). Jeff's the biggest. limpeh's in 2nd place and sir's the thinnest.

1. Got dragged into the demo team again. Luckily more showed up later that morning and I opened my big mouth and tell Jong "why don't I go out and let him(the late comer) join in". And his response"ei sir. This guy 3rd degree le." and pulled me out saying "luckily you say so or else you're gonna be in there for good". Bo pien ma.There's not enough peopleand Im the most junior and youngest amongs the seniors. Thats why you guys get to see those pictures below.

1. A senior came complaining to me about someone_2.(click this link, 2nd last paragraph, KNN moment of the day and this link). Apparently he's so retarded that he can't take orders(dude, I knew that agaes ago). So I told him about this. And his response was "He think our 3rd degree so easy to get ka?" and "if he wants ask him to run all the way to Sibu and run back again la." and later that morning "I think he'll stay in 2nd degree forever. Period".

First time

Her parents was out of town that few days. So I went over to keep her company for a while. We sat at the sofa watching some kinda romance movie I can't recall. I looked into her eyes. She looked back. Our lips draw nearer and nearer. Oh before I go further, I just wanna say a word here.

Learnt a new word(again) during training today. Taiping kung chu. Princess Taiping, puteri Taiping. Try guess what it means. Lawrence's gonna be so screwd tomorrow. Both these are related.

I was right

I knew it! I was right after all! I knew that certain "someone_2's" gonna ask sir to let him go for his 3rd degree. Hah!

But I never thought he's that fast. My estimate was that he's gonna ask for it around this week or this Sunday's training. But noooooooo. He went and asked the same day he saw me with an extra stripe on my belt.

And of course, his "request" was denied. Right-on-the-spot-with-no-seconed-thought. To add insult to injury, he "kena cuci" by one of the other senior/instructor as well. Hah!

Lesson learnt: (lazy want to write. Think about it yourself. Your brain is inside our skull for some reason you know. )

Sam-Il

Finally finished Sam-Il today. In case you are wondering waderfark Im talking about, Sam-Il is the 1st pattern for 3rd degrees. Took me almost half a year to finish this one although it only consists of 33 movements. Lets have a comparison here shall we. Toi-Gye, a red-stripe pattern had got 37 movements while Yul-Gok, a blue stripe pattern consists of 38 movements. Sam-Il's a lil bit tricky so limpeh here need to learn it from the book+helps from sir. I know someone who learn it just by instruction. ;).

Kuching Martial Arts festival first rehearsal

Almost the usual stuff but not that normal as well. First, a combination of CHun-Ji, Dan-Gun, Do-San, half of Po-Eun and Hwa-Rang. All performed as one smooth pattern.There must be at least 60-70 movements on there. Glad that I need not do it. Hopes that it continues this way(fingers crossed).

Next up, kicks. Didn't really pay attention during this part. Then semi free sparring.After that, 1-step sparring. Same thing with minor changes here and there. Power breaking's gonna be the last part for the group demo. Punch, jumping snap kick and flying side kick.

While my cousin and I where talking/crapping about how good it is being a senior this time around and not have to perform, sir came by and pulled her in to lead the ladies team pattern demo. Talk about irony. "five girls with same height and same body size. where to find" so they say. And Mr Sim dubbed them as the STA's siau lung ni(small dragon girls)


Bangga moment of the day: When sir announced the list of assistant instructors and when it comes to my name"Mr epsilon, he's the newly promoted 3rd degree" and followed by an applause.


Funny moment of the day: When "someone" thought Im still a 2nd degree and asked me to line up. Sir pulled me out from there. "someone" asked me to go in again. Then he realised that Im not what I used to be. The look of his face; priceless.


KNN moment of the day. When "someone_2" found out that Im already promoted(yeah its the 3rd time this post) and kept pestering yours truly about it.


I know, i know. This is one boring post. Im gonna try get some pictures of the next rehearsal. No promise though.

My new tie...

I find the lack of pictures in this blog depressing. So here goes.

Received my new tie today. Cost me Rm76(U$D30). A new "must-wear-in-official-functions" for 3rd degrees and above.

Debut of this tie; the first championship next year. Or the First aid cum administration seminar later this year. Wonder how Id look in it. :P

Don't you just hate hypocrites? lets take medical students for example. Why in the fucking world do you choose this course? Well if you say your mummy made you do it then I have nothing else to say. But then.....if you say you wanna save lives and something else along that line, I have two words for you. FUCK YOU. Deep down inside all you can think of is milking money out of your patients. Struggling for 6-7 years just that you can save life and make the world a better place. BULLSHIT my friend. Want to save life go become bomba la. Ok if you wanna prove me wrong, why don't some/anyone of you go work for free for several months. I bet my bottom ass that you will even cry when you are posted to hospitals in ulu areas. Saving life my ass.

This blog is not meant to flame/degrade anyone/any profession in particular. I admit, I took engineering not because I wanna make the world a better place, but it is because I wanna make some money to feed, cloth and shelter me. I pick medical students because it would make stuff seems clearer. :p

Maybe starting from today, Im gonna post desriptions of each laws if I run out of things to blog.

Chuk yiu-Keluar minyak

There's gonna be this Kuching Festival Parade or stuff so some of the sch's(my ex-sch) band members had been gathering there and practising their stuff since before the training began. Here's how it begins.

Sir spotted the band members: Oh ching wan yiu chuk yiu ha?(oh tonight got "chuk yiu " ha?)
How and limpeh looking at each other puzzled: Chuk yiu???
Sir : Neh chuk yiu?? parade???
How and limpeh: Oh parade.....
sir:If not what you guys think it is?
Limpeh stupidly answer: I thought chuk yiu=keluar minyak.
How feeling enlightened and nodded his head fast fast.
The entire class: wuahhahahahahahaha
Sir pointing at limpeh: Neh this guy really need to keluar minyak la.
Sir(shaking his head): Ngaiti you this people who din went to mandarin class....
(How also agree with me ma but Im the only one kena.....)

Sir: eh epsilon you try guess how much MAS air ticket to KL now
limpeh: errr....around 400+? coz That day we went only around that.
Sir: 600++ ah taiko.
How(he must be feeling very smart): Oh got one way.

There's still few more crazy funny conversations between us(the seniors who went for GR training) but Im not gonna post it up coz its very sensitive and you people might not hear from me ever again.


Moral of the story: No matter how old/senior you get, you still can be a jackass. (referring to LIMPEH. )

The reasons why STA(Sarawak Taekwondo Association ) kick ass

Another of my post as a fighter/student. Pretty long so deal with it.

• We are so damn cooperative. You need us for demonstration? sure. Oh you need 100 of us. No problem. 200? No problem. 300? also no problem. All black belts? sure. why not. Oh you only wants the seniors? No problem.
  
• Oh the demonstration's next week? No problem... 2 X 3hours session is all we need. Satisfaction guaranteed.
  
• Thats the reason government agencies loves us. Coz we are reliable and we never back out of any promises. Anything you want, we can deliver.
• Others show up in rehearsals in jeans, shorts, Mickey mouse t-shirts but we show up in our half uniform ( official STA t-shirt+white pants+belts+sporst shoes) even when we're supposed to perform bare-footed. Thats why we looked so damn cool. Coz we're one bunch of disciplined kids even though we need not attend military drill camp.
  
• Our coaches are the youngest among the coaches in the rehearsal but yet we deliver the most painful stings. We need not cling to one person to do everything. Even our juniors are capable of attending meetings and manage teams of hundreds. Nor does there any one person that's gonna hog all events available and yet comes out with crap.
  
• We know what we need to do, we know our own capacity, we know what we want and we know what we need. Therefore, we never arrive clueless.
• You don't wanna do your part; Get Out! You missed out rehearsals without proper explaination; get ready to be fried. Heck we're the only team who punish members that "forgot" any part of their uniforms during teh rehearsal.
  
• From the public's eyes our performances are so damn perfect. But we ourselves knows that there's still a lot of places to work on.
  
• You think that just becasue we have hell lotsa black belts at our disposal you think that its that damn easy to get it. HELL NO. Going for the exam is one thing but qualifying for it is a totally different thing. And it gets a lot harder each degree. Yours truly here never even think about getting a 3rd degree. Getting the recommndation/green light to go for it was one of the biggest surprise in my life. To go higher, assist in trainings(teaching the juniors), lose the badass-I-don't-listen-to-commands attitude, participate and cooperate in events. Winning a medal for the team does give you an extra edge though but its useless unless you have the previous criterias.
• 10 minutes ago you guys were opponents in the ring and practically kicking the ass outta each other but a moment later outside the ring, you will be laughing joking among yourself.
  
• You from Sg Maong are my friend, you from St. Joseph also my friend. Im from Green Road but we are all friends. We fight under the same banner and we are one big happy family.
• STA solely does not belong to to him, to her, to you, or to me. It belongs to all of us(members of STA)
  
• Politics does happen but its at a tiny microscopic scale. It got solved before anything could happen.
  
• Contrary from popular beliefs that seniors are immune; HELL NO. In fact, seniors are the ones at a higher risk since all our moves are monitored. I've seen several very senior members got suspended for several reasons. (Im not telling any further unless you are really really really really close to me)
• This is not the place that is only creating fighters. if you have problems, we can help you. Advises from seniors are priceless. Childrens here grow up into a respectable member of the society, problematic teenagers turned into obedient students. Stories of successful seniors are abundant. Heck we have lotsa graduates, doctors, engineers, lawyers and other "high ranking elites" that was a member before.
• Not only we learn how to fight, we learn how to manage teams/clubs, how to deal with people(some real annoying ones) and how to get our life on track.
  
• And yes we might be a small association(only based in Kuching) but we can really kick ass. Last year alone, 9 members were sent to Seni Bela and returned with 8golds+1 other medal. A true record.

If there's anything else that I can think of later Im gonna add it in again. Im not kissing ass here but Im just speaking out my mind. Most of the things above had happened to me and many other friends of mine. Cynical-idealist for example. Just ask her.
I might just be another Mr nobody out there in the society if I did not join STA when Im in form 1. My seventh year in STA.Parents out there, you should know by now what you should do. ;)
